ReCAST, Inc. affirms the transformative power of the arts and the profound creativity and resilience that reside within communities. We engage these resources in quests for social justice and in searches for life-enhancing ways to address conflicts. We mobilize arts and culture to support communities to heal in the aftermath of trauma, and to build bridges of acknowledgement and respect across differences.
ReCAST, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to support work at the nexus of the arts, culture, and the creative transformation of conflict by affirming the fields of Peacebuilding and the Arts, and Community Cultural Development. We:

- Disseminate resources to those working in fields related to Peacebuilding and the Arts and Community Cultural Development.
What We Do
ReCAST, Inc. disseminates resources to those working in fields related to Peacebuilding and the Arts and Community Cultural Development. In addition, we conduct trainings, consultations and convenings where emerging knowledge can be shared and where practitioners reflect on the ethical dimensions of their work.
Our first projects are disseminating resources and knowledge created through Acting Together on the World Stage, a collaboration with Brandeis University and Theatre Without Borders; and A Way out of No Way, a project documenting the cultural work practice of the incomparable African-American musician, activist and educator Jane Sapp.
